Recount is an illuminating look behind the scenes at the notorious Florida recount during the 2000 American presidential election.  It chronicles the storm following the most controversial presidential election in US history which brought George W Bush to power, particularly relating to the “butterfly” ballot paper used in Florida.  The confusing layout of this ballot produced votes for Buchanon that were intended for Gore.  Producer/director Sonja Phillips chose the butterfly image as the theme for this promo, turning the ballot paper into a real butterfly.
