Jamie Thomas sound designer / music composer

Jamie joins us after a long stint as a freelance engineer working with a number of TV channels. Having cut his teeth in Soho, he moved out to the sticks (Shepherds Bush) and began working for National Geographic on their promos. He'd already set up a recording studio nearby, so offered his services as a composer to various producers and in his first year at the channel won a Promax for composition.

When he's not at work, he can be found in his music studio doing all manner of strange things with various instruments, and sampling interesting sounds from inanimate objects - drilling through an old piano, or recording the sound of a circular saw dropped on concrete - to turn into instruments. Apparently the circular saws make good bells.
